Day 4 Of ikhlas.com 7D/5N Tour To Turkey: Salt Lake

Day 4 Of ikhlas.com 7D/5N Tour To Turkey began just like the previous days, i.e. sleepless in the wee hours of the morning no thanks to my roommate’s non-stop snoring. I wasn’t resigned to the fact that I had to spend 2 more nights in a confined space with someone who irritated the hell out of me. In fact, what was supposed to be a wonderful tour since Turkey is my dream destination turned out to be the worst travel experience of my life. The snoring went on an on from half past 3 in the morning. Would it have solved the problem by telling her she could have won any snoring competition? I guess she would have hated me and nothing would have changed so I could only count myself lucky I had to endure just 2 more nights which would be in the beautiful city of Istanbul.

Breakfast in the Cappadocia hotel began at 6am and I was so glad to be out of my room. If I had to endure one more week with my roommate, I would have requested an early flight home as I was turning into a deprived-of-sleep zombie by day. It’s not a nice feeling to feel angry with someone and the worst thing is you can’t tell the person they have a serious snoring problem.

We checked out of the hotel and were on our way to Istanbul with a stop at Tuz Golu or Salt Lake and then proceed to Ankara for lunch. Tuz Golu is the 2nd largest lake in Turkey and located in the Central Anatolia Region. It’s like you are walking on sand but it is actually a thick layer of salt. The sky is very blue here and it’s so scenic. Great place to stop for photos.
