Bausch and Lomb Lacelle Jewel

There are so many vendors of coloured contact lens especially in one shopping mall which I frequent from time to time but I have never been tempted to even take a closer look because I am wary of unknown brands. However, with Bausch and Lomb Lacelle Jewel, a monthly disposable coloured contact lens, I can allay my fears since I’ve been using Bausch and Lomb non-coloured monthly lens for years and my very first monthly contact lens when I turned 17 were also from this trusted brand.

The Lacelle Jewel range is a new line extension to the current Lacelle and Lacelle Colours range. There are 7 colours – melanite black, topaz brown, crystal grey, amber brown, amethyst violet, sapphire blue, and peridot green. I was tempted to try amethyst violet when I was offered a pair for review but I asked them what the most popular shade is and they said it was amber brown so I requested for that.

The lens has a lovely lace pattern and enlarges eyes instantly. Pigment standards have been authenticated by FDA, therefore the series of products will ease you from any worry about health. That’s why it’s important to buy coloured lens or for that matter, any type of lens from reputable merchants.

It’s very comfortable to wear and removing it is as easy as putting it on. It has a centre thickness of just 0.078mm so you can imagine how comfortable this is. After wearing these, I might never go back to my regular non-coloured lens. Even if I accidentally drop them into the sink, they’d be so easy to find unlike my regular monthly lens.

Highly affordable at RM68 per box. Anyway when it comes to eyes, one should never compromise on price as eye health should be top on anyone’s list of priorities. I’m sure that with the variety of colours available, Lacelle Jewel will be a hit among men and women of all ages.
