There are 4 types of bareMinerals Flawless Definition Mascaras, incidentally the one which would interest me the most would be the subject of today’s review, the Curl & Lengthen Mascara as I so dislike using eyelash curlers so any mascara which touts itself as giving dual benefits of curling and lengthening is sure to pique my curiousity.
The Curl & Lengthen Mascara has dual-length bristles and the shape is quite unique and unusual. It has long bristles to lift, lengthen and curl lashes and shorter bristles to coat and deposit the formula on to every lash. An instruction leaflet is included in the box which details the application techniques (together with diagrams).
The bristles on the brush are able to reach the sparser, smaller lashes at the corners. Lashes are lifted after a few swipes with the brush and lengthened although I don’t think there is dramatic lengthening. It creates very defined lashes and there is virtually no clumping or flaking.
After 6 hours of wear, the curl is retained and best of all for me, there is no smudging. However, I think that the formulation could be improved so that lashes are made to look longer. This mascara only comes in black.
