AEON Bank invites public to Masjid Al-Sultan Abdullah, Menara Merdeka 118 on January 16, 2026 to unlock digital banking rewards
The first digital Islamic bank in Malaysia, AEON Bank (M) Berhad is inviting Malaysians to drop by Masjid Al-Sultan Abdullah, Menara Merdeka 118 on 16 January 2026 (Friday), from 10.00am to 3.00pm, for an on-ground session to learn more about digital Islamic banking.
Held in conjunction with IKIMfm 25th Anniversary “25 Hours Live” broadcast, the event will take place at the iconic national location and it gives an opportunity for AEON Bank to engage with the community and allowing them to ask questions, and explore AEON Bank’s digital experience at their own pace. During the event, visitors can discover AEON Bank’s Shariah compliant offerings, from Savings Account-i and Savings Pots with customisable optimisation features, including Neko Sensei and Neko Missions gamified rewards programme. Visitors can also learn how the AEON Points Programme is built into the AEON Bank app, allowing points to be converted into cash and credited directly into customers’ AEON Bank accounts, while unlocking benefits across the AEON ecosystem. Just by signing up and taking part in the on-ground activities visitors can win AEON Bank exclusive merchandise, while stocks last.

As the engagement takes place on a Friday, members of the public are also welcomed to perform their Friday prayers at the newly established Masjid Al-Sultan Abdullah, set within the iconic precinct of Merdeka 118.
Getting there is also easy, whether by car or public transport. Visitors can reach Masjid Al-Sultan Abdullah and the Merdeka 118 precinct via the Belfield Tunnel from Jalan Syed Putra and the Federal Highway, which connects into a two-storey underground tunnel with direct access to the Merdeka 118 basement. There are also two external entrances and drop-off points at Jalan Hang Jebat and Jalan Stadium. For those taking public transport, Merdeka 118 precinct is easily accessible via MRT (Merdeka station), LRT (Plaza Rakyat station), and monorail (Maharajalela station).
