Last Saturday afternoon, I was in the audience of the London Musical Show By Great British Circus Malaysia along with a few hundred other enthusiastic people, mainly families with young kids. This is a circus with a difference as there are no animals who have to literally jump through hoops for their supper. Personally, I have always disliked such acts as I feel it’s cruel to animals to hold them in captivity and make a spectacle out of them.
Is it possible to have a fantastic time at the circus without watching animals? London Musical Show By Great British Circus Malaysia proves that you can. The constant screams from the kids and never-ending applause from the audience every time the performers pulled off impossible stunts was proof that this circus is a huge success.
With an international cast of amazingly talented performers from more than 10 countries such as the UK, USA, Russia, Ukraine, Guinea, Iran, Colombia and Brazil. the performers left the audience spellbound. From trapeze artists, contortionist, stilt walkers, knife throwing acts that interacted with members of the audience, singing, dancing, 3 motorcycles whizzing round and round in a cage, clowns, it would be really impossible not to enjoy this circus unless you are a Grinch.
There is a storyline too as main protagonist Jack has to save a theatre from being demolished to be converted into a factory. Along the way, he falls for the antagonist’s stepdaughter. All the acts are so well executed, with polish and precision that you don’t even realise 2 hours have passed. There is a 15-minute intermission.

Thereafter they will be in Auto-City Penang from 11 January to 16 February 2025. Ticket prices are surprisingly very affordable for such a world-class act and believe me, if you are a parent, your kids will love you even more when you bring them to this superb circus.
