Most of us will use dry shampoos when we are away from home and don’t have the time or access to water. The last time I reviewed a dry shampoo, it was the Oscar Blandi Pronto Invisible Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray which is quite a big bottle at 142g (however, they have some travel sizes available now).
Sephora’s express dry shampoo is only 75ml so it can be taken anywhere, even in hand luggage on flights. It contains guarana extract to invigorate and add shine to hair. My scalp starts to itch badly when I haven’t washed my hair in 3 days so I sprayed this dry shampoo which I presume works to remove excess sebum. It doesn’t produce instant results, it has to settle for a few minutes before my scalp starts to get less itchy.
There is no drying effect on my hair nor does it leave residues. It has a floral scent. I’d bring this along if I’m going to a place where I know I won’t have access to shower facilities but I’d choose a proper hair wash with shampoo and conditioner any day.
At RM29 for 75ml, this works out to 38 sen per ml while Oscar Blandi’s Dry Shampoo is 66 sen per ml.
