In previous years (other than last year), some of us would be gearing up for and looking forward to the Estee Lauder Friends & Family Sale around this time. Oh, the excitement of waking up early and joining that seemingly never-ending queue in front of those doors that led us into beauty bargain heaven. There’d be so much to look at, so many brands, skincare and cosmetics, that I never knew where to begin. If I headed to a brand which had what I wanted too late, it’d be gone. Sometimes in a matter of minutes after I entered the room, the product I really wanted would have vanished.
Even though I never bought a lot, I enjoyed the experience of attending and mingling with the crowd immensely. Where else and when else can we see so many beauty products all in one room? Some of the products may have been from a year or two ago but no one was complaining as they were offered to us at such attractive prices.
Yes, those were the good old days and I am not sure that even when things go back to normal, that there will be another sale such as this.
