These new Mentholatum lip balms arrived in timely manner as I am almost out of lip balm and looking around for new ones to try. Mentholatum Melty Cream Lip is the first in the market with a melting-like texture. It boasts a unique cream texture which melts on lips upon application.
The Melty Cream Lip is formulated with the following technologies for your lips to experience a burst of hydration and the protection it needs: –
- Cream Touch Technology – Melts on your lips upon contact with your body heat, offering an extremely soft, smooth and a coat of moisture on the lips with just one swipe
- Moist Bank Technology – Its Superior Water Holding factor instantly captures and locks in moisture from air, ensuring long-lasting moisturization on your lips upon application
- 3 types of Ceramide – Helps form and strengthen water barrier to prevent moisture loss on the lips
As it is infused with 8 nourishing botanical oils and extracts (i.e. Shea Butter, Raspberry Seed Oil, Cranberry Seed Oil, Sea Buckthorn Berry Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Borage Oil, Avocado Oil and Moroccan Argan Oil) to provide extra care to lips. It includes SPF25/PA+++ to protect the lips against harmful UV rays.
Packaged in Japan’s unique Aluminium packaging design, the Melty Cream lip balm is available in two variants, i.e. Fragrance Free and Rich Honey. I prefer the Rich Honey between the two variants as I don’t mind a bit of fragrance in my lip balms. It has a soothing and nurturing texture/sensation and the melting feeling on lips does feel quite good. However I didn’t think it was as hydrating for my lips as some other lip balms or lip butters but then again it’s probably due to the fact that my lips need more hydration than what this offers.
