Sometimes, it can be quite hard to find the perfect sunscreen, some sunscreens may be too thick, too sticky, too oily, too oily or just too unsuitable for one’s skin. I’ve never repurchased the same sunscreen because I’ve never found one that I’d like to purchase again until now but it’s probably too late.
More than a year ago, during a Neutrogena Hydro Boost™ workshop, one of the door gifts was their Fine Fairness® brightening uv moisture SPF50+PA+++, rather high sunscreen protection. It contains Helioplex which is a sunscreen complex that helps block the harmful UVB-burning rays and UVA-aging rays which can cause premature lines and wrinkles.
I’d put this sunscreen aside for so long that it’s actually past its expiry date by a month. Since I don’t have sensitive skin and the product had never been opened (even the box was tightly sealed), I used it anyway and discovered that I like it a lot.
Not being someone who uses BB Creams on a regular basis, I usually opt for sunscreen before foundation. This sunscreen comes in a slim and light 30ml squeeze tube which has a tiny nozzle for dispensing the product. It’s non-sticky and does not leave any whitish cast on my skin.
My skin looks brighter after it has been blended in. It’s also a pretty good moisturising sunscreen which makes it a pretty good makeup primer. The bottom line is that I like this sunscreen a lot more than I expected to. It’s definitely a sunscreen I would repurchase were it not for the fact that it isn’t on the shelves in drugstores any more. I have a feeling it has been discontinued. I don’t have the price for this one but if memory serves me right, it was less than RM60.
