They shimmied, sashayed, swayed, gyrated across the stage like they have been dancing for years (and maybe a few of them have?). They wore outstanding make-up and attire that stole the limelight. They entertained us and left us impressed with their dance skills. They were the 8 finalists of Sungei Wang Plaza’s ‘The Best Of Priscilla Search’ Final.
Held in conjunction with Sungei Wang Plaza’s “Christmas on Broadway’ celebration, the finalists channeled their inner Priscilla by impersonating the main character in ‘Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”. The story revolves around the lives of two drag queens travelling in a desert in a bus which they named ‘Priscilla’.
The participants were judged based on their performance, costume, costume and crowd response (rather overwhelming for the winners who really did a fantastic job).
The Champion of this competition walked away with RM1.500 cash and shopping vouchers worth RM500, the 1st Runner-Up received RM1,000 cash and shopping vouchers worth RM500 and the 2nd Runner-Up received RM700 cash and shopping vouchers worth RM300.
