For the first time in my life, I had the opportunity to wear stilettos, on my lashes that is. Maybelline’s latest mascara, the Long Extreme Stiletto is named after this iconic footwear because it’s formulated to give women the same kind of length on their lashes.
Even the design of the tube is reflective of the stiletto as it tapers to a point. It comes in a black tube tapering to a red coloured square at the end much like the heel of a stiletto. The applicator wand isn’t too big nor wide, I think it’s the appropriate size for Asian lashes.
What is the one special feature of this mascara? Apparently, just 1 coat covers 360 degrees of each lash ensuring longer, sleeker, sharper, shapelier and unquestionably seductive lashes. When I tried it, it definitely made my lashes a whole lot longer than they are and it managed to curl them too without the aid of an eyelash curler.
There was no clumping but lashes are spidery thin without any volume. I would probably use a volumising mascara like Maybelline’s Magnum after the Long Extreme Stiletto as I like my lashes to look thicker as well as longer. However, if you are looking for a lengthening mascara, this mascara does live up to its promise as the results are achieved with each mascara stroke.
Although it is a waterproof mascara, I did experience some minor smudging within a few hours’ of wear. It’s quite easy to take off this mascara. Even when there was some residue after using eye makeup remover, I just had to use my finger to remove the flakes remaining on the ends of my lashes.
This new mascara is only available in Black and is priced at RM32.90. The product was provided by PR for review.
