Last year, we missed out on The Balm’s Muppets Cast Your Shadow Face Palette which was a pity as I was really looking forward to that one. Who doesn’t love the Muppets, right? Anyway, Sasa has brought in The Balm Balm Jovi Face Palette and I love the design of the palette even if it is cardboard. I dig the heart shaped mirror inside, so cute!
Inside are 12 eye shadows (they don’t seem to be as big as any of the Shady Lady palettes), a highlighter, a blush and 2 lip colours. The eye shadows have various textures such as matte, shimmer and frost. All the shades have good colour pay-off and are smooth to the touch.
Each row of vertical colours (4 in a row) belongs to a group i.e. Heavy Metal, Classical Classique and Alternative Rock. I guess that means they are recommended to be used together but if I had this palette, I’d combine them as I like. Endless combinations with this palette but I’m not tempted by the shades as I feel like I already have these shades in other palettes, just can’t remember which ones!
