Hada Labo es Range For Sensitive Skin

Cleansing Foam Wash, Milk, Lotion, Cream

There still isn’t a lot of skincare that cater to sensitive skins but more brands are coming up with sensitive skincare ranges as they become aware of the special needs of those with sensitive skins. Hada Labo introduces the es range which comprises 4 products – cleansing foam wash, lotion, milk and cream.

This series of skincare stays true to Hada Labo’s Perfect X Simple philosophy. It is formulated using 5 additive-free ingredients such as fragrance, colorant, alcohol, minerals oils and preservatives which are ingredients which could potentially cause irritation to sensitive skins.

The products in the es range contain Hada Labo’s signature ingredient, Nano Hyaluronic Acid added with Zinc which functions in three ways : penetrate, hydrate and repair. Nano Hyaluronic Acid has very fine molecules and thus is able to penetrate deep into the inner layers of stratum corneum for deep hydration and retain moisture in skin while Zinc has restorative properties for controlling and soothing skin inflammations and reducing skin irritations.

Cleansing Foam Wash 160ml/RM39.90

This is an instant foaming cleanser and I don’t need to add water for cleansing. The foam is quite thick and my skin feels thoroughly cleansed of make-up and impurities. It does provide better-than-average cleansing without stripping my skin of moisture.

Lotion 170ml/RM55.90

There are 2 ways of using this lotion, either soak a cotton pad with lotion or apply directly on to skin with fingers by pouring some out on to my palm. This has a thin gel texture and isn’t as runny as most toners. This is probably regarded more of a softening lotion than toner per se. As with other Hada Labo lotions, this has an instant hydrating and softening effect on skin.

Milk 140ml/RM61.90

A moisturiser for those with oilier skins or people who just prefer more lightweight moisturisers. Whether I used the milk or the slightly heavier texture Cream, the effect is just as instantly moisturising. The only difference would be the lasting hydration (please read on below).

Cream 50g/RM65.90

The Cream isn’t as thick as it looks in the image above. Has a slightly richer texture than the Milk so one can expect hydration to be a bit more longer lasting than the Milk. Personally, I prefer the Cream to the Milk because I have dry skin and need more hydration. I don’t find the Cream to be too thick, I think the texture is just right for our humid weather.

Hada Labo es Series is now available at Guardian pharmacies nationwide.
