This year Dany Sanz, founder of Make Up For Ever introduced the Aqua Shadows, creamy jumbo pencils with shimmering and matte shades. These are waterproof eyeshadow pencils with extra colored pigments and long-lasting hold. The pencils were tested on the catwalks at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami.
Its polished black body is finished off with a band colored with each shade and a matching cap. They have been formulated to resist seawater, chlorinated water and rubbing. They are applied directly to the skin and blended with fingertips or brushes.

The pencils are very easy to use as they glide on smoothly and don’t drag my skin. They don’t feel drying on my lids. They haven’t creased and color doesn’t fade all day no matter how humid it is and how much I have been sweating. The shimmer pencils are well pigmented and buildable so you can go from sheer to intense effortlessly.
All the shimmering shades are in nude colors and great for day use. For night time wear, just apply the mattes as eyeshadows or eyeliners for a smoky look. They have to be sharpened to quite a fine tip in order to work as liners.
