A Gradual Radiance With FAB’s Facial Radiance Pads

When I saw this product, I was immediately reminded of a similar product from Good Skin Labs (no longer available here since last year) – Citra- Peel High Intensity Resurfacing Peel, a citric acid peel. Citra-Peel claims to improve skin clarity, reduce the appearance of lines, age spots and pore size and First Aid Beauty’s Facial Radiance Pads claim to do exactly the same thing.

FAB’s Facial Radiance Pads contain lactic (for exfoliating and conditioning) and glycolic acids (for exfoliating and balancing pH). They are recommended for daily use which may be a bit expensive since each pad can obviously be used just once and so the tub will last 2 months at most unless you cut each pad in half. Actually, that works because I find the size of each pad more than adequate for 1 application.

After I have cleansed my face, I take a pad and use the rougher surface first (the surface with indentations) followed by the side with the smooth surface. The instructions don’t say that is how it should be used but that’s my way. If I am using the pad, I can skip toner since they contain cucumber and Indian gooseberry which tone the skin. They also contain lemon peel for brightening.

There is no stinging sensation at all and I can see the results over a period of 2 weeks. There is a gradual brightening of skin and skin surface is smoother. I don’t think there has been any diminishing of fine lines though. I’ve yet to find a miracle product that can diminish my fine lines. So yes, there is skin brightening and improvement in skin clarity.

The pads also contain FAB Antioxidant Booster composed of licorice root, feverfew and white tea for combating free radicals. Available exclusively at Sephora at RM108.
