Klook Travel Fest (KTF) 2026 welcomed 19,738 visitors during its three-day run at Sunway Pyramid, where more than 1,400 flash deals were snapped up as travellers hunted for inspiration and deals for their next getaway.
Held under the ‘Epik Carnival’ theme, the festival brought together exclusive travel deals, destination inspiration, travel advice and interactive activities for travellers planning their next adventure. More than 8,200 customer queries were answered across the Ask Klook Booth, Hotel, Destination and Itinerary Zones, while more than 7,600 itineraries were distributed throughout the festival.

Where travellers are heading next
Japan continued to be a clear favourite, leading destination bookings at KTF 2026. The result echoes Klook’s Travel Pulse 2026, which found Japan to be the most sought-after destination among Malaysian travellers at 27.2%.
A good deal clearly still goes a long way, with more than 1,400 flash deals snapped up during the festival. This echoes Klook’s Travel Pulse 2026 findings, where 56.1% of Malaysians ranked affordability as their top consideration when choosing a destination. Visa joined KTF 2026 as the festival’s official payment partner, offering Visa cardholders additional ways to enjoy savings throughout the event.
Beyond choosing where to go, travellers were just as excited about what to do once they got there. Shanghai Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland and Universal Studios Japan topped bookings across attractions and activities, putting theme parks firmly among KTF visitors’ favourite experiences.

“What stood out this year was just how much Malaysians are looking forward to their next adventure. Japan remains a firm favourite, while the strong growth we saw for China shows that travellers are also ready to explore more destinations and experiences. At Klook, we want to make that journey from ‘where should we go?’ to ‘let’s book it’ as hassle-free as possible, by bringing together great value, exciting experiences and convenient ways to discover and book their next adventure,” said Sarah Wan, General Manager for Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, Klook.
Following its return to Malaysia in 2025 after a six-year hiatus, Klook Travel Fest kept the momentum going this year with its ‘Epik Carnival’ format — giving travellers a weekend to discover new destinations, score travel deals and start turning their next holiday plans into reality.
