Off & Relax Anti-Hair Loss Series Officially Launches In Watsons Malaysia

Japanese premium scalp care brand Off&Relax officially launched its Anti-Hair Loss Series in Malaysia, announcing its exclusive debut at Watsons Malaysia during a brand launch event held in Kuala Lumpur.

The event brought together Watsons representatives, the Off&Relax brand team, local media, KOLs, and consumer guests, marking an important milestone for the brand’s expansion in the Malaysian market,

The Inspiration behind Off&Relax originates from Japan’s traditional onsen therapy culture. The brand incorporates natural hot spring water sourced from three renowned Japanese hot springs Izumo Yumura Onsen, Yubara Onsen, and the Japanese Alps Onsen known for their rich mineral content..

Combined with modem scalp care technology, these mineral-rich waters are designed to help balance the scalp environment and support healthier scalp conditions and stronger hair roots.

The brand brings together research experts with decades of experience, establishing a unique scalp care philosophy that focuses on three key aspects: scalp environment, hair root condition, and overall hair health. This research approach enables the development of formulations tailored specifically to the needs of Asian scalp characteristics.

Positioning itself as an “Asian Scalp Total Care Expert,” Off&Relax combines advanced Japanese ingredient technology with onsen-inspired scalp care to deliver a more holistic, gentle, and science-driven scalp care experience.

During the event. Professor Koji Wakame, Professor of Pharmacology at Hokkaido University of Science, shared scientific insights on the role of Type XVII Collagen in hair follicle structure.

Type XVII Collagen is a key structural protein within the hair follicle stem cell microenvironment. It plays an important role in maintaining the structural connection between hair follicles and the basement membrane, helping to support a normal hair growth cycle.

Studies suggest that when the level of this protein declines, hair follicles may prematurely. enter the resting phase, which can lead to increased hair shedding. Maintaining stable levels of Type XVII Collagen therefore plays a meaningful role in supporting healthy hair roots and reducing hair fall.

The Anti-Hair Loss Series is developed based on research related to Type XVII Collagen. combined with various Japanese botanical extracts. The formulations are sare designed from three key perspectives: scalp environment conditioning, hair root reinforcement, and follicle nourishment support, helping maintain a balanced scalp ecosystem while supporting healthy hair growth conditions.

The formulations emphasise a gentle scalp care approach, aiming to support support scalp health while minimising irritation, making the products suitable for long-term use. Off&Relax places strong emphasis on the sensory value of fragrance in scalp care. The brand works with professional perfumers to develop its fragrance profiles, while also exploring through research and experimentation how scent can influence emotional relaxation and overall wellbeing.

Through this system, brainwave technology translates emotional responses triggered by scent into visual imagery, allowing participants to observe how fragrance affects their emotional state in real time.

This interactive experience visually demonstrates the sense of relaxation and emotional uplift that fragrance can bring during product use, further illustrating Off&Relax’s philosophy of sensory-driven scalp care.
