SLGC Berhad To Raise RM29.4 Million From ACE Market IPO To Strengthen Its Construction Capabilities

Building construction services provider, SLGC Berhad (“SLGC”), has launched its prospectus today in conjunction with its upcoming initial public offering (“IPO”) on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”). SLGC, through its subsidiaries (collectively known as “SLGC Group” or the “Group”), is principally involved in the provision of building construction services, including design-and-build services as well as external and ancillary works. The Group primarily undertakes projects as a main contractor, covering non-residential buildings such as commercial and industrial properties, as well as residential landed and high-rise developments.

Established in 2009, SLGC has built a track record spanning approximately 17 years. From its beginnings as a subcontractor in Johor, the Group has expanded its geographical presence to Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. Its principal operating subsidiary, SLG Construction Sdn. Bhd., is registered with the Construction Industry Development Board as a Grade G7 contractor, enabling it to undertake projects of any size and unlimited tender value in Malaysia. As at 12 August 2026, the Group had an unbilled order book of approximately RM1.00 billion, providing earnings visibility up to the financial year ending 31 December 2030.

Managing Director of SLGC, Mr. Yong Zhen Lin (杨镇霖先生) said, “The launch of our prospectus represents another significant milestone for SLGC as we move closer towards becoming a listed company. Since our establishment in 2009, we have steadily built our capabilities and track record, progressing from a subcontractor to a main contractor capable of undertaking sizeable commercial & industrial and residential projects.”

“Our growth over the years has been supported by the experience of our management team, our project execution capabilities and the relationships we have established with customers and industry partners. The listing provides us with a stronger platform to build on these foundations and pursue the next phase of our growth.”

“Looking ahead, we are positive on our growth trajectory. We see many opportunities, especially in the industrial segment, where we are actively tendering for projects. According to the Malaysian Investment Development Authority, Malaysia recorded RM218.5 billion in approved investments in the first half of 2026, following RM426.7 billion in 2025. These approvals support the robust demand for new manufacturing plants, warehouses, logistics facilities, data centres and other industrial developments.”

Mr. Yong concluded.
SLGC intends to raise RM29.4 million from the public issue at an IPO price of RM0.28 per share.

The IPO exercise entails a public issue of 105.0 million new ordinary shares (“Issue Shares”), representing 18.8% of SLGC’s enlarged issue share capital, as well as an offer for sale of 63.0 million existing shares (“Offer Shares”), representing 11.2% of its enlarged issue share capital. Of the 105.0 million Issue Shares, 28.0 million Issue Shares will be made available to the Malaysian public via balloting, while 2.0 million Issue Shares will be allocated to eligible Directors and employees of the Group. A further 70.0 million Issue Shares will be offered by way of private placement to selected Bumiputera investors approved by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, while the remaining 5.0 million Issue Shares will be offered by way of private placement to selected investors. Similarly, the 63.0 million Offer Shares will be made available by way of private placement to selected investors.

Upon listing, SLGC is expected to have a market capitalisation of RM156.8 million based on an enlarged issued share capital of 560.0 million shares and an IPO price of RM0.28 per share. For the financial year ended 31 December 2025 (“FYE 2025”), the Group recorded revenue of RM324.0 million, representing an increase of 41.1% from RM229.6 million in the preceding financial year (“FYE 2024”). The higher revenue was mainly supported by increased construction activities from ongoing residential projects as well as contributions from newly commenced projects.

Gross profit increased by 26.3% to RM50.8 million in FYE 2025 from RM40.2 million in FYE 2024, while profit after tax stood at RM14.0 million. Following the prospectus launch, applications for the public issue will open from today and close on 22 September 2026 at 5:00pm. SLGC is scheduled to be listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Securities on 6 October 2026.

M & A Securities Sdn. Bhd. is the Principal Adviser, Sponsor, Underwriter and Placement Agent for the IPO exercise.
