Shu Uemura The Lightbulb Oleo-Pact

This fluid foundation went beyond the technical boundaries, bringing together the paradoxical elements of glow and coverage to suit modern women’s needs.

The lightbulb™ oleo-technology is a breakthrough technology which comes with its own unique ‘the lightbulb’-shaped sponge—itself inspired by the rich experience and expertise of Shu Uemura make-up artists and the tapping motion of traditional Japanese kabuki brushes. This winning combination has quickly won the adoration of women and beauty experts throughout the world.

This spring, the lightbulb UV compact saw the lightbulb family join forces in the powder foundation category. Formulated with the lightbulb™ oleo-technology for glow and coverage and the lightbulb™ pearl, together with an original double-sided polishing sponge, the lightbulb UV compact empowers you to polish up your glow for a flawless complexion without a powdery look.

To accelerate this legend further, this autumn, Shu Uemura will launch the lightbulb oleo-pact, no water added cream foundation. Glow and coverage remain at the heart of this formulation, and with new jellified oil complex, together with an original dome-shaped sponge, the lightbulb oleo-pact creates a dewy satin glow and streak-free finish for a fresh complexion that lasts longer.

The Lightbulb Oleo-Pact SPF25 PA+++ is a creamy compact version of The Lightbulb Fluid Foundation. It’s formulated with conditioning oils and perfected by a dome-shaped sponge, instantly melting into skin to create a thin veil of satin glow.

Inspired by techniques used by make-up artists, Shu Uemura used Japanese craftsman know-how and a custom-order tool to develop the unique dome sponge; thick at the peak (10mm) and thin around the edges (3mm), this unique shape designed to offer lightweight but effective ‘edge-free’ coverage and a streak-free finish. HOW TO APPLY
‘Stroke & glow’ – for a streak-free finish, use Shu Uemura’s ‘stroke and glow’ tried and tested method for a thin, but glowing, effect on skin. With this dome sponge, no complicated make-up technique is necessary. A simple and quick application will create a glow finish.

Available in 16 shades (there must be a shade here for everyone!), Oleo-Pact Foundation will be available in September 2014 and retail at RM160/10g (no refills available unlike for The Lighbulb UV Compact).
