Malaysians’ love for our country is almost synonymous with our love for food. We’re known for being a food haven, and our flavours have inspired some of the world’s most renowned celebrity chefs. With Merdeka and Malaysia day just around the corner, we’ve rounded up a list of Malaysia’s favourite Subway flavours so that you can switch up your Sub order and see which flavours your fellow Malaysians are loving.

  1. Meatball Marinara

There’s nothing Malaysians love better than banjir-ing our food in rich, aromatic sauces for the extra flavour and the meatball marinara is the perfect sub for that. Bathed in savoury tomato marinara sauce and served with delicious meatballs, the Meatball Marinara is still a Malaysian crowd favourite even after so many years.

2.Tuna

Malaysians love tuna! This may or may not have started from our childhood memories of having tuna and egg sandwiches at all our picnics and Hari Kantin days, but we’re not complaining. The Tuna Sub is the best way to tap into those nostalgic feels. Made with simple yet sumptuous Tuna and creamy mayonnaise, it’s the perfect blend. Put it on your go-to choice of warm, toasty bread and pair it with your choice of fresh, crunchy veggies and you’ve got the best comfort food to get you through your day!

3. Italian BMT (TM)

Biggest, meatiest, tastiest! One of the reasons Subway’s B.M.T. (TM) continues to be Subway’s Signature Sub because it feeds into our Malaysian kiasu-ness of wanting more! Whether it’s more bang for your buck or more protein for your favourite Sub, the B.M.T. (TM) is one sub that just keeps giving. Made up of sliced beef salami, beef pepperoni, and sliced chicken, the B.M.T. (TM) is always going to be a satisfying experience.

4. Curry Sekali

Okay Malaysia, this one was definitely made for us! Regardless of our origins, all of us have our own culturally unique takes on curry. Taking a cue from our collective love for curry, Subway has launched the all new Curry Sekali flavour just in time for Merdeka and Malaysia Day. Made with fragrant spices, the sauce is both sweet and savoury and is sure to bring back some of the best memories and leave you with a taste to remember!

5. Cookies

6-subway-oatmeal-raisin-cookieWe couldn’t round up Malaysia’s favourites at Subway without giving a shout out to everyone’s favourite Subway Cookies! Whether you like the Chocolate Chip, prefer to indulge in the White Chocolate Macadamia and Double Chocolate or even if you prefer better for you options like the Oatmeal Raisin cookies, there’s always a cookie for everyone and for every mood. So don’t be afraid to unleash your inner cookie monster and try one of each the next time you visit the restaurant.

Check out all these and more at your nearest Subway restaurant and don’t forget to check out Subway’s Merdeka wrapper created by our very own local comic artist, Ernest Ng, that pays homage to our local heritage and icons when you buy a Sub or Wrap from now until 31st September, 2022.
