Good Western Food In A Food Court? It Exists!

Having tasted some less than stellar Western food in several food courts, I was initially skeptical about trying anything from The Patio at Taste Enclave in Avenue K. They offer pastas, chicken chop, dory fish (grilled or crispy), roast chicken, steaks and soups. Prices are very reasonable so I ordered the grilled fish which is the same price as the crispy fish at RM13.90 (no tax).

It took about 15-20 minutes for my meal to be prepared during which time a queue had started to form. That looked promising, the chefs were scurrying around in the kitchen (there’s a clear window where you can view them at work) and the dishes that came out to customers before me looked very appetizing like this one.

Looks good, right? I am so hungry right now! I could do with some supper.

The grilled dory fish is sizeable and I was very pleased with how it looked. The coleslaw sits on a lettuce leaf and is surprisingly delicious as is the grilled dory fish, It wasn’t oily and it was moist and melt-in-my-mouth texture. I would even go so far as to say it is on par with famous Western restaurants such as Coliseum and The Ship but at a fraction of the price! Seriously, where else in town can you get such a generous slab of fish at this kind of quality for just RM13.90? This skeptic is impressed.
