BLANCHEUR is an aspirational and wearable Muslimah lifestyle designer brand. I attended BLANCHEUR’s Fashion Showcase at JW Marriott last night where models wore designs from 3 collections – Cruise 2016, SOUL and Fall/Winter 2015-16. Cruise 2016 & Fall/Winter 2015-16 are categorized under the label’s JOURNEY series.
Collections include fashion focus women’s ready-to-wear and accessories, signature print scarf categorized under JOURNEY and SOUL for designer premium range “telekung” and accessories. The label also provides personalized appointment services for customized designer wear.
BLANCHEUR is wholly owned by Hliuem Group Sdn. Bhd. founded by Datin Haslinda Rahim driven by her mesmerisation for Muslimah fashion in an artistic, modern and luxurious design and style.
Cruise 2016 – the collection glimpses a significance of Malay traditional garb with a modern twist. It incorporates a note of interesting, texturizing, digital and reinvented floral prints rendered in luxurious pastels or soft acid hyper-colours in functional yet unconventional forms, enhanced with intricate embellishments.
SOUL – the range is embellished with intricate novelty touches in order to create beautiful pieces that have modern appeal. With Faith at its heart, BLANCHEUR discovers a newfound esteem in ceremonial attire for prayer. The Telekung, as it is known to most, is one of the quintessential pieces in every Muslimah’s wardrobe.
Much like the JOURNEY series, this range has a contemporary aesthetic that shows soft textures and graceful lines in addition to a very considered approach to construction. Most distinct is the sense of lightness and balance which allows the garments to be one with its wearer.
Fall/Winter 2015-16 – the collection encapsulates BLANCHEUR’s design identity by presenting sober tailored pieces and daywear separates alongside soft sculptural forms for evening wear. The pieces are conceived with an architectural focus, exploring a precise aesthetic balance with a clear versatility for a city dweller’s day-to-day wear.
Make-up sponsor for BLANCHEUR Fashion Showcase was MAC Cosmetics. There were 2 make-up looks – a structured brow and the No Makeup Makeup look.
