St. Ives is one of those skincare brands many of us would have tried at one time or another, no matter what our age. I find their products in the “very affordable” range as you get quite a lot of product for the price. I was looking at their range of face scrubs a few weeks ago at Guardian outlets and wondering if I should get one or two. I was particularly drawn towards the Energizing Coconut & Coffee Scrub and the Radiant Skin Pink Lemon & Mandarin Orange Scrub. At the Guardian outlet I visited, there was only one of each variant left and I was sorely tempted but what to do….I was at my neighbourhood Guardian and didn’t have enough cash at that time.
Then as if a genie heard my wish or rather St. Ives has telekinetic abilities, I received an email asking if I would like to try St. Ives face scrubs. Would I ever? I would have gone anywhere within Malaysia to collect these face scrubs if I had to. But no need for that as the kind people at St. Ives arranged for the delivery of their fantastic (look-at-it-also-I-wanna-try-immediately) products.
So this wooden box arrives and it contains :
- Energizing Coconut & Coffee Scrub
Contains crushed walnut shell powder for a deep and thorough exfoliation.
2. Radiant Skin Pink Lemon & Mandarin Orange Scrub
Infused with pink lemon and mandarin peel extracts, this citrusy face gives moderate exfoliation.
3. Acne Control Apricot Scrub
Another scrub for moderate exfoliation, this one contains salicylic acid to in their signature apricot face scrub formula to help reduce breakouts and prevent acne. Crushed walnut shell powder leaves pores fresher than fresh.
4. Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub
This is St. Ives iconic face scrub and a cult classic. Contains 100% natural walnut shell powder for deep exfoliation.
5. Blackhead Clearing Green Tea Scrub
Face scrub with moderate exfoliation factor, this scrub unclogs pores and calms redness.
6. Gentle Smoothing Oatmeal Scrub & Mask
This scrub has the most gentle exfoliation factor of all the face scrubs and doubles up as a mask. Walnut shell powder gently buffs away dull skin when used as a face scrub.
I’ll post the reviews of each face scrub as I use them. I haven’t been so excited about any skincare for review in a long time.
