A’kin by Purist is an Australian company which has been around for the past 15 years. I remember seeing their products in various NZ drugstores years ago, they have always had nice packaging with illustrations of the botanical ingredients used in their products. The company prides themselves on manufacturing natural skin and hair care products without parabens, sulfate, toxins or harsh chemicals.
I have very dry and damaged hair so I am always on the look-out for hair care without harsh chemicals. The A’kin Rosemary Shampoo smells divine, so herbal and refreshing. There are cedarwood oils and 6 botanical cleansers in this shampoo. My scalp and hair feel so cleansed with this shampoo.
Then there’s the Lavender & Anthyliss Leave-In Conditioner which contains avocado, jojoba oils and anthyliss. These help to protect hair from heat styling. It absorbs into my hair quickly without any greasy feeling. Sometimes when I feel that my regular conditioner isn’t softening enough, I add this Leave-In Conditioner and my hair feel much softer and manageable. It untangles my hair and makes it much easier to comb.
