Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) is organizing a “Welcome To Japan Fair” jointly with “Iwate Food Fair” at AEON Bandar Utama from 26 December 2013 -1 January 2014. Aimed at promoting Japan as the ultimate tourist destination, introducing Japanese culture and also promoting Japanese food from Iwate Prefecture at the Iwate Food Fair, the 7-day event offers visitors a host of fantastic Japan travel deals, Japanese performances and other fun-filled activities for everyone. Through this fair, JNTO hopes that there will be more Malaysians inspired to visit the beautiful Land of the Rising Sun.

There are various exciting activities and events specially lined up such as the Japanese Drum Performance by Wadaiko Syo, Japanese Yosakoi Soran Dance, Ninja Performance, Japanese cooking demonstrations of “Mochi”, Kids Bento”, “Osechi”, origami workshop, kimono dress-up experience and more.

Other than that, there are also promotions namely the Doraemon Fridge Magnet Redemption for those who spend over RM20 in a single receipt at the Iwate Food Fair and a lucky draw to stand a chance to win a holiday trip to Japan.

The Iwate Food Fair will be introducing a diverse range of fresh and delectable food made in the Iwate Prefecture to drive more awareness among Malaysian customers to get acquainted with Iwate products. Iwate Prefecture, the second largest prefecture in Japan after Hokkaido, is located on the north-east of Japan’s main island of Honshu. It is renowned for its high quality soil and favourable weather conditions that are suitable for agriculture, fishery and forestry.
