Some of you may have read my L’oreal Paris Excellence Creme review. I am happy to say unlike some other hair colours I have used, the colour didn’t run out when I washed my hair the 1st time after my hair was coloured. Furthermore, my hair is not dry and can be combed easily especially in the mornings when I wake up when my hair is at its most messy. You may have used L’oreal Paris Excellence Creme too with the same good results. I’ve tried both DIY and salon hair colouring before. I must say it is better to get it done in the salon because the colour will be more even and vibrant when compared to DIY. My worst hair colour experience was the colour i chose for DIY was many shades lighter than i expected and it got worse after a few wash. My hair looked like straws that time and it was horrible. I tried dyeing back to a darker colour but it faded after few wash. That was really my bad hair days. I personally prefer browns and purples when it comes to hair colours.
I tried Revlon to dye my hair once, the color was nice but my hair quality gone. My hair becomes frizzy and cannot be combed easily.I only dyed my hair once so I haven’t tried other DIY brand.Saloon will not be my choice now because it is too pricey for me haha,must wait until I graduate and get my own pay then I will try to do at saloon. I would prefer reddish color range,I love vibrant hair colour and I think DIY brands provide wide ranges of choices.
I bought for my mum L’oreal Paris Excellence Creme and it was excellent ^^. The colour lasted for few months and was not drying at all. While others went for blond and bright colours such as pink, I wanted to dye my hair so badly in “dark blue” but My mum would be nagging me everyday for one whole month like i did when i tried to dye my hair red brown once.
Usually, my brother is the one doing the dyeing. He can even do simple highlight without any professional training. After many bad experiences at hair salons, i don’t really feel like going to salon except for hair cuts as my unprofessional brother can do a better job than they are and cause me lesser pain.
i would wonder how would i look like with all those vibrant colours but i am just afraid i might look like some punk kid instead of being cool.
So far I have never had my hair fully coloured. I have only gone for highlights to be added in. I usually leave the choice of colours in the good hands of my hairdresser. In a sense, he somehow seems to know what are the best colours for me! He alternates between adding more golden and darker brown highlights to my hair as required. The net effect of that is that I end up having more than one colour in my hair at once, depending on whether the particular highlight added in is newer or older!
