Max Factor has come up with the Clump Defy Mascara which promises beautifully separated lashes and volume. It’s very annoying to have a mascara which clumps lashes as you then have to spend extra time cleaning up the mess and trying to separate your lashes. Clumpy lashes will leave smudges on the under-eye area so it’s not good at all to have a mascara which cannot separate lashes that well.
Clump Defy Mascara comes in a rather big and bulky tube with a spoon shaped wand applicator. This brush is Max Factor’s first clump-free lash loading brush. It has evenly spaced, tightly formed bristles to stop clumps before they form, and hug the lashes to define and separate. Thanks to the precisely aligned bristles, the space between the bristles is smaller than the average clump, which prevents clumps forming on the brush and transferring to the lashes, and enables multiple strokes and reapplications with zero clumps. They also define and separate the lashes.
I’m pleased to say that this is indeed a mascara which delivers on its claims of providing volume with absolutely no clumps. The brush separated each lash and left zero clumps. There was also no smudging throughout the day and other than volumising, it also lengthens and curls lashes quite nicely. I used the mascara without an eyelash curler.
It doesn’t matter how many times I coat my lashes, this mascara never clumps. I have applied it after the first few coats have dried and still it doesn’t clump lashes. If you are looking for a no clump mascara which gives better than average volume, length and curl, check this one out.
