pureDKNY A Drop Of Rose is the 3rd fragrance in the pureDKNY range after pureDKNY A Drop Of Vanilla and A Drop Of Verbena. pureDKNY continues its partnership with CARE, a leading humanitarian organisation to help lift women out of global poverty . The pureDKNY and CARE partnership began in 2010 with the launch of pureDKNY Vanilla.

The vanilla used in pureDKNY A Drop Of Vanilla was sourced from Uganda whereas the verbena used in A Drop Of Verbena was sourced from Togo. pureDKNY Rose begins in Turkey’s Isparta Valley in the Anatolian flower fields where the delicate pink blossoms of rose damascene variety are harvested early each summer. This is a generations-old process that is virtually unaffected by modern technology.

Some interesting facts about the creation process of pureDKNY A Drop Of Rose:-

The harvest season takes place each year in June and each flower is hand-picked, one by one in the cool pre-dawn hours.
By season’s end, 2500 tons of petals have been bagged, weighed and transported by truck to the distillery where they are gently rolled and processed through 26 stills.
The hydro-distillation process takes place in each still, this is a process that extracts natural oils from materials like wood or flower petals. Then through condensation, the water and oil are collected and separated to recover the natural oil from that plant.
500kg of roses are poured into each still until the still is full of freshly picked rose petals.
The end product is essential oil of rose, a potent raw material that’s later incorporated into the fragrance.

If you love the scent of roses, you will absolutely love this fragrance as it smells like I’ve just walked into a rose garden. All it takes is 2-3 sprays and that’s enough for the scent to last for about half a day. However, someone standing next to me might find the scent stronger than me. Personally, I seem to become immune to any fragrances on myself after a couple of hours. The design of the bottle is very simple but classy.
