These days, it’s next to impossible to find a set of basic skincare from a counter brand costing less than RM200 in total but with Aupres, you can because their Pureness Bright Soft Scrub Cleansing Foam, Lotion & Emulsion totals RM190. Then again, one wouldn’t expect the products to be priced anywhere near Shiseido products since Aupres products (though formulated in Japan) are made in China.
The Brightening Lotion is their softener/toner. It’s just a typical toner, nothing special about it. Good for soaking those condensed masks in and leaving on my face for about half an hour.
I like the Refining Lotion a lot more than the Refining Emulsion. How many ways do I dislike this one? Okay, not to many ways but enough to not want to use this one. Firstly, it isn’t a pump bottle. One has to pour it out from a big opening and because the texture is so runny, I tend to pour out too much.
Secondly, the chemical scent is awful. I can’t tolerate this one. Most drugstore brand moisturisers smell a whole lot better than this one. Goodness knows what goes into this emulsion, it’s all Chinese to me.
Aupres Pureness Bright Refining Lotion is 150ml/RM65 while the Refining Lotion is 100ml/RM70 (if anyone wants this one from me, be my guest).
