Sizing Up Samples From Burt’s Bees

 Sugar Scrub & Body Lotion

Now that Fabulous Finds has been launched, I am seriously considering subscribing since I don’t mind receiving deluxe sized samples or samples which are used just once. It’s better than having full sized products around as it takes me a long time to finish a bottle of hand cream/body lotion etc.

Thanks to their inaugural Beauty Box, I have just tried Burt’s Bees Cranberry & Pomegranate Sugar Scrub and Milk & Honey Body Lotion in 8.5ml & 7ml respectively. The Sugar Scrub sachet looks a lot smaller than the latter but there’s actually more content. That’s probably because the Sugar Scrub is very dense and concentrated, much more so than the Body Lotion.

Cranberry & Pomegranate Sugar Scrub

This scrub contains cranberry seeds and pomegranate oil combine with natural sugar crystals and shea butter. There appear to be bits of cranberry within the scrub. I like the texture of the scrub as it has a lot of grit, really feels as if my skin is getting a good polish and indeed, it feels very smooth after the scrub has been washed off.

There wasn’t nearly enough of the scrub in this sachet for my entire body. I only managed to apply it on one side of my body. What I didn’t like so much was the oily feeling it left behind, felt as if there was a greasy film on my skin but thankfully, that was only temporary as there was no oiliness left once I applied shower gel.

Cranberry & Pomegranate Sugar Scrub is RM 78.00/226.5g.

Milk & Honey Body Lotion

The Nourishing Milk & Honey Body Lotion is for dry skin, apparently clinically proven to moisturize up to 24 hours although I don’t think that’s quite the case for me. It’s got a nice honey scent which I like and it isn’t horribly thick and greasy.

Other than milk and honey, this one also contains coconut and grape seed oils and vitamin E, all very nourishing ingredients. The amount in this sachet was enough for 2 applications/uses.

The Nourishing Milk & Honey Body Lotion comes in 3 sizes:-

  • 70g/RM30
  • 170g/RM56.80
  • 340g/RM88
