Tealive today officially launched its Sparkling Prebiotic Tea Soda range, the first of its kind in Malaysia, offering a new drinking experience that goes beyond conventional tea and carbonated beverages to cater to evolving consumer preferences as it expands into the growing ready-to-drink (RTD) market.

Gracing the launch was Datuk Armizan bin Mohd Ali, Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN), who commended Tealive for creating this new category. His Ministry, he said, was supportive of Malaysian brands uplifting themselves through innovation, added value and product development and expanding into regional and global markets.

The move marks a new category direction for the top Southeast Asian lifestyle tea brand, extending beyond its traditional brewed and milk-based offerings into the rapidly evolving world of canned beverages.

Rather than putting tea into another conventional bottled format, Tealive Sparkling brings together cold-brew tea, real fruit juice and light carbonation, with added prebiotics and no artificial colouring, in a convenient can designed for a lighter, more refreshing drinking occasion.

“Tea has always been at the heart of Tealive, but how people enjoy tea continues to evolve. With Sparkling, we wanted to take that familiar foundation and put it into a completely different drinking experience,” said Bryan Loo, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Loob Holding Sdn Bhd.

“The idea was not simply to make another sparkling drink. It was about asking what tea could become when we combine it with fruit, carbonation and added prebiotics in a convenient RTD format.”

The new range comprises four fruit-and-tea combinations: Passion Fruit Pineapple Tea pairs tropical fruit notes with sparkling tea; Lychee Oolong Tea combines the fragrant sweetness of lychee with aromatic oolong; White Peach White Tea brings together floral tea notes and white peach; and Apple Lemon Oolong Tea combines crisp apple and citrus with an oolong base.

Tealive Sparkling is now available through selected 7-Eleven, Econsave, Jaya Grocer, Village Grocer, Petron, BilaBila Mart and The Food Merchant outlets, as well as on Tealive’s official e-commerce platforms.

The launch also reflects Tealive’s continued evolution from a Malaysia-born tea brand into a regional lifestyle beverage brand. Born in Malaysia in 2017, Tealive has since expanded its presence across nine international markets, including the Philippines, where it now has 40 outlets and plans to reach 100 by 2028, and, most recently, Bangladesh, where it began operations in October 2026 with three outlets.

Tealive brand ambassador Amelia Henderson also attended the official launch, joining the brand in introducing the Sparkling Prebiotic Tea Soda range to guests and members of the media, as well as participating in a meet-and-greet session. The event also featured product sampling activities.

With Sparkling, Tealive is positioning its latest RTD offering not just as an extension of its existing portfolio, but as an attempt to create a new space for tea in Malaysia’s increasingly diverse beverage market.
