One reason I don’t use eye pencils on a regular basis is that I’m afraid of smudging. It’s happened to me on many occasions even when an eye pencil is said to be water-resistant or even waterproof. I’d rather have an incomplete eye look than look like a human raccoon. Who has time to constantly look in the mirror to check if eye makeup is intact?
Urban Decay’s famous 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils are now available in travel-size sets. There are 2 sets – Naked and Electric. I have the Naked set for review and there are 4 brown tones in there along with 1 black. The Electric set has more colour in it and this set is perfect for anyone who wants to stand out in a crowd.
The Naked set consists of (from left to right) Zero, Demolition, Bourbon, Underground and Stray Dog:-
1) Zero is a not too intense black.
2) Demolition is a brand new shade exclusive to this set and matte darkest chocolate brown.
3) Bourbon is brown with gold shimmer.
4) Underground is shimmery taupe/brown.
5) Stray Dog is shimmery grey/brown.
The eye pencils are creamy, soft and gentle on the eyelids, no tugging issues here. They are also waterproof and these managed to stay on my eyelids all day. I think that the Naked set is more practical unless you’re in a job where you can turn up with bright eyeliner shades without anyone batting an eyelid.
In the Electric set are the following shades (sorry no swatches):-
1. Perversion – matte darkest black (Urban Decay’s most requested shade).
2. Ransom -deep shimmery purple with blue shift.
3. Woodstock* – shimmery hot pink.
4. Radium* – shimmery bright blue.
5. Junkie* – bright green with gold sparkle.
