Interview With ECOHAIR ACADEMY Students Who Completed The Professional Certificate in Hairdressing Full Course (PCIHFC) In Collaboration With Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR): Part 3

ECOHAIR ACADEMY, based in Bayan Lepas, Penang, is proud to be the first hairdressing centre and academy in Malaysia to establish an educational collaboration with Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). This partnership, formed through UTAR’s Centre for Corporate and Community Development (CCCD), led to the development of the Professional Certificate in Hairdressing Full Course (PCIHFC).The course commenced in June last year at ECOHAIR ACADEMY, with a total of 10 students enrolled. All of them have completed the course and were awarded a Certificate of Completion accredited by CCCD. This interview is with 5 of the students who received the Certificate.

Please introduce yourself (name, age and where you’re from).

Ng Chia Shen: 20 years old from Sungai Dua, Penang.

Peter Wong Chu Kok: 20 years old from Sibu, Sarawak.

Low Jun Sheng: 20 years old from Lunas, Perak.

Chua Wei Xiang: 22 years old from Pasir Mas, Kelantan.

Anson Chan: 22 years old from Kangar, Perlis.

What would you like to say to yourself and to your parents?

Ng Chia Shen: Thank you to my parents for giving me the opportunity to study and for their support. They never objected to whatever I wanted. They have always encouraged me. This is the first step of my career and I will continue to work hard.

Peter Wong Chu Kok: I want to thank my parents as they’ve paid my fees and without them, I could not have come so far here. My parents have supported me in a non-AI duplicated industry. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me.

Low Jun Sheng: I thank my parents for the fees. I like the beauty industry. I have changed since I took up this course as I was very unhygienic before. Now I think that I am successful.

Chua Wei Xiang: Thank you to my parents for always supporting me. They didn’t understand much about the beauty industry. The hairdressing industry is a very old industry. My parents encouraged me to go forward.

Anson Chan: My parents encouraged me to do whatever I wanted. My mum is also in this industry, so I was influenced by her. I am very grateful to her.
