Sa Sa Launches ARTDECO

Some of you may remember that I had an earlier post on ARTDECO a few months ago. The brand is from Germany and Sa Sa officially launched it last night. The brand incorporates a complete range of most fashionable make-up products – from high-end make-up, over a diverse selection of lipsticks and glosses as well as a multitude of mascaras, eyeliners or other bestselling eye make-up, as well as a colorful choice of nail lacquers. Today ARTDECO is synonymous with refillable products many of which have become bestsellers of the ARTDECO line.

ARTDECO International Makeup Artist & Head of International Training, Derek Grillo was present at the launch to impart make-up tips and demonstrated the use of the products on Malaysia’s very well known supermodel, Amber Chia (couldn’t have asked for a better model as she sure knows how to pose!). He created 2 looks on her – a natural look followed by a glam look.

The natural looks created by Derek on Amber and other models are superb, this is a master of make-up and proves ARTDECO make-up is on par with prestige brands. Derek used Luxury Skin eyeshadow and the process for the natural looking makeup was very fast yet effective!

Derek proceeded to transform Amber’s natural look to a glam look by using a purple aubergine eyeshadow over the entire eyelid and applying pencil followed by liquid eyeliner. He mentioned that our Asian elongated eyes are ideal for cat’s eye makeup. Purple eyeshadows are in trend for next year and will form part of ARTDECO’s Love, Love, Love Collection next year. He also applied more Luxury Skin eyeshadow and the same shadow was applied on cheekbones for a glowing effect. A fuchsia red lipstick was applied on Amber’s lips.

Aren’t the natural and glam looks beautiful? Derek’s demo was so informative and I wish I could have seen more looks from him. I am sure he has loads more tips for us to achieve professional looking make-up.  I can’t wait to try the ARTDECO make-up especially the eyeshadow base with their eyeshadows.
