Levi’s Fall/Winter 2017 Collection

Whenever we think of jeans, we always think of Levi’s® first as this is THE brand as far as the best and most fashionable jeans are concerned. Their jeans can take one from day to night and look good on anyone regardless of body shape or size. For the Fall/Winter 2017 season, Levi’s® takes its inspiration from subcultures of music.

INTRODUCING THE LEVI’S® ALTERED COLLECTION

 For over 144 years, the Levi’s® brand has created iconic clothing that’s loved around the world. Today the brand’s icons, like the 501® jean and Trucker jacket, have become canvases for customization and self-expression. Levi’s® are fans of lived-in and vintage denim; they’re even bigger fans of customization and deconstruction. As a result, they’re introducing the Levi’s® Altered Collection for Fall 2017 – a collection that epitomizes their creative approach to remastering classic designs.

For men’s and women’s, they deconstructed and altered their most coveted fits, creating unique pieces that speak to the process of customization with details such as twisted seams, covered coin pockets and staggered shadow patches. All available in a range of essential finishes.

MEN

Men’s Altered styles include new takes on the iconic Trucker Jacket playing on pieced, varied shades of denim. A selection of men’s truckers will also feature authentically sourced vintage Levi’s® fabric, cut and sewn and reworked into the silhouette. The 501® and 511™ jeans are deconstructed and put back together and left with raw hems. Price ranges between RM89 to RM329.

WOMEN

For women’s, Levi’s® crafted the Mended 711 Jean and Altered 711, and 721. All design details are purposeful and speak to the customization process—twisted seams, covered coin pockets, staggered shadow patches & darts with finish ranges from washed blacks to tinted indigos. Price ranges between RM279 to RM329.

LEVI’S® MEN’S TAPER FITS

Since the invention of the original blue jean in 1873 – the 501® – Levi’s® has built quality men’s jeans with comfort and durability in a wide range of fits for all body types and lifestyles. The first Taper jean was introduced in 1964 and broke away from the customary straight fitting 501® of the time, attributing jeans as not only a workwear staple, but a fashion statement. With the release of our two taper fits in 2017 – the 502™ Regular Taper and 512™ Slim Taper – Levi’s® continues to focus on the taper as the essential style he needs now. Along with the continued success of our other fan-favorite the 501® T (Taper), Levi’s® has a range of taper fits for every mood, style and body type.

502™ Regular Taper

The 502™ Regular Taper, a classic every day taper with a little more room in the thigh. This particular style can be worn full length or styled to an alternative length through a clean cuff & roll.

512™ Slim Taper

For those looking for a slimmer fit, there’s Levi’s® 512™ Slim Taper — with a narrower fit through the leg. It’s all about progressive style that’s casual and accessible. Available in non-stretch and stretch — to stay comfortable.

I had a chance to try on a few pairs of Levi’s® at their The Gardens outlet recently. First, I tried on a men’s 502 Regular Taper with a slightly tapered leg and that was comfortable because of some space in the thigh area.

Then I tried on the women’s 512 Slim Taper and that had a closer fit. I thought it was a bit tight for me but I was assured it would become more comfortable with wear and mould to my body.

Both pairs of jeans I tried on retail at RM239. Levi’s® attire is always trendy and casual chic. It doesn’t matter what age you are, there’s something there that will make anyone look good!
