Estee Lauder Pure Color 5 Color Eyeshadow Palette Floating Islands

Estee Lauder Floating Islands Palette is one of two new additions to their Pure Color 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette range (RM160), the other addition being Galaxy Blues. Floating Islands looks more summery and cheerful.

I had the opportunity to have Floating Islands colours applied on my eyes during my last visit to their Isetan KLCC counter. The textures range from matte, satin, shimmer to metallic so you have diversity.

The darkest shades in this palette #4 and #5 tend to be be more mattes and have less shimmer than the 3 lightest shades. I liked the frosty finish of #1 to #3 shades, they make marvellous highlighters and one can never have too many light shades. It’s the darker shades that are more difficult to finish, as my eyeshadow loving friend would say.

I had the makeover in the morning and after that I attended an event, it didn’t fade or smudge all day. This palette has very wearable colours and can take you from day to night.
