Now You See Them, Now You Don’t

Generally, I don’t fancy using make-up primers because they more often than not make my skin feel artificially smooth. Anyway, I don’t think I have such large pores that I need to use a primer everyday but when L’oreal’s BaseMagique became available, it got my attention. I’d tested it on the back of my hand at one of the drugstores some months ago and I thought it had a pretty good feel to it.

BaseMagique has been formulated to hide fine lines and pores. This is a translucent primer with a velvety mousse texture. Although it looks like a pale pink, it does not appear so on skin. It has a combination of soft and light powders to give a silky finish and mattify skin. Just a little is required for each application as it has quite a thick texture so you’d want to avoid using too much.

Although it contains a blend of silicon oils, it does not have that silicon feel I get with some other primers. I like this one much more than other primers I have tried in the past as it smoothens skin, makes pores a lot less visible and foundation glides easily on to skin.

It’s recommended for use around the eyes and areas that are not as smooth such as the forehead, sides of the nose and around the chin area. Applicationwise, it is recommended to apply it from inside to the outside of the face.

This 15ml tub will last a long time as such a minute amount is required per application. It retails at RM45.90.

  1. Yes! I absolutely adore BaseMagique! I’ve been hesitant about primers too, but applying this makes a huge difference. Definite co-sign!

(And I also love that it doesn’t break my bank account!)

    P.S. Ice cream! 🙂
