Say It, Create It, Print It: myFirst Insta magiBox Opens A World Of AI Creativity For Children

myFirst today introduced myFirst Insta magiBox in Malaysia, a voice-powered AI creative printer designed to give children an accessible introduction to creating with artificial intelligence. By turning spoken ideas into printable images and illustrated stories, Insta magiBox connects AI exploration with hands-on activities, helping children bring their imaginations into the physical world through colouring, decorating and storytelling. Priced at RM329, it made its Malaysian debut at the myFirst Brandstore in Sunway Pyramid.

Under the theme “The Magic Begins”, myFirst is taking everyday childhood moments as the starting point for its products: discovering something new and wanting to know more, having an idea but not yet having the skills to fully bring it to life, or taking another small step towards doing things independently. Alongside myFirst Insta magiBox, the Malaysian showcase brings together ViewTalkie, CareSip, Fone M2, Watch F1, Sketch Play 4 and Camera Play Plus, offering families a range of year-end gifting options.

myFirst Insta magiBox: A creative introduction to AI, powered by children’s imagination

Children can have vivid characters, worlds and adventures in their heads long before they have the writing or drawing skills to fully express them. myFirst Insta magiBox is designed around that gap between imagining something and being able to show it, helping children turn the ideas they can say into images and stories they can see, hold, colour, decorate and share.

myFirst Insta magiBox helps make big imaginations visible. Children can simply speak an idea and use Voice-to-Image to turn it into an illustration across different art styles, or use Voice-to-Story to develop it into a connected four-scene illustrated story. It gives children another way to show the characters, worlds and stories already in their heads, in a form they can see and build on.

This offers a practical starting point for exploring how AI responds to ideas expressed in words. Children provide the characters, settings or adventures they imagine, then use the generated images as material for their own creative activities.

The creativity can then move beyond the screen. With ink-free thermal printing, children can turn what they create into something physical. A spoken idea can become an image to colour, a story to retell, something to display, or a creation to proudly hand to someone else.

A 2.8-inch screen lets children view their creations, while six art styles—including anime drawing, cartoon drawing, line art, ink splash, pencil art and doodle—give them different ways to express an idea. myFirst Insta magiBox produces black-and-white prints that children can personalise with colour and decoration, and comes in Aqua Blue and Blossom Pink.

“Children are growing up in a world where AI will be part of everyday life, and we want to give families a simple, creative way to begin exploring it together,” said G-Jay Yong, founder and CEO of myFirst. “Kids rarely run short of ideas. With myFirst Insta magiBox, they can describe what they imagine, see how AI brings that idea into an image or story, and then print it to colour, decorate and make their own. We want that first experience of creating with AI to begin with their curiosity and continue through hands-on play.”

By moving from Voice-to-Image or Voice-to-Story to print, myFirst Insta magiBox gives children another way to express ideas that may be difficult to capture through writing or drawing alone. The imagination remains theirs, while the technology helps them bring more of it into the world.

ViewTalkie: Bringing family and friends closer through play

ViewTalkie brings a face-to-face twist to the classic walkie-talkie, giving children, family members and friends another way to share everyday discoveries and enjoy nearby play together. Children can show a drawing, share something they have found or exchange a funny expression, without needing a smartphone of their own.

The devices connect automatically when switched on, using a direct device-to-device connection with no internet required. A two-inch screen supports video conversations, while automatic switching to voice-only mode helps keep conversations going when the signal becomes weaker.

Seven playful face stickers add expressive effects to the live camera feed, while three voice effects—Kid, Alien and Robot—turn conversations into opportunities for shared laughter and imaginative play. Each bundle includes two ViewTalkies, so family members or friends can join in.

ViewTalkie supports voice communication over distances of up to 500 metres and video communication over up to 400 metres in open areas. Indoors, the stated ranges are up to 200 metres for voice and 150 metres for video, with actual performance depending on surroundings and obstructions.

CareSip: A personal bottle that helps parents understand drinking habits

As children start doing more things on their own, parents cannot be there for every little moment. CareSip adds an extra layer of protection to something children use every day, helping keep their bottle personal, supporting awareness of drinking habits and adding a safeguard when a drink may be too hot.

That protection starts with access. CareSip’s fingerprint-controlled lock recognises approved users and secures the entire lid, helping prevent someone else from opening the bottle while giving children simple access with just a touch. There is no key to lose or password to remember, and parents can register up to 20 approved fingerprints.

CareSip also records each time the lid opens. Through the myFirst Circle app, parents can review these records to build a picture of their child’s drinking routine throughout the day, including school hours and after-school activities. This gives families a useful starting point for conversations about drinking water regularly.

The bottle also adds a safeguard for something children may not always recognise themselves: when a drink is still too hot. Its temperature protection helps restrict access to hot drinks, while a colour indicator on the lid and information in the myFirst Circle app help parents monitor the temperature.

Designed to fit into everyday routines, CareSip offers battery life of up to six weeks on a full charge, with USB-C charging taking approximately 1.5 hours.

Fone M2: A simpler starting point for a child’s first connected experience

Fone M2 is a streamlined 4G smartwatch built around the essentials of a child’s first connected experience. With parent-approved communication, location, SOS and Class Mode, it gives families a simpler starting point before moving into more advanced connected experiences.

A 1.32-inch AMOLED display and two-megapixel front camera support everyday interaction, including voice and video calls over mobile data or Wi-Fi. The watch combines GPS, Wi-Fi, LBS and AGPS positioning for location tracking, while Class Mode helps parents manage distractions during lessons. A music player and pedometer add entertainment and activity tracking to its communication features.

Watch F1: Helping children build everyday activity habits

Watch F1 helps kids become more aware of how they move, rest and stay active throughout the day. Focused on wellbeing rather than communication, the smartwatch tracks activity, heart rate and sleep, while giving parents a view of health and sleep trends through the app.

Weighing 39g with its strap, Watch F1 features a 1.85-inch touchscreen, more than 100 sports modes and 10 built-in games. Animated and customisable watch faces let children make the watch their own, while IP68 water resistance and battery life of up to five days under typical use support everyday wear.

Sketch Play 4: Pocket-sized creativity for everyday adventures

Sketch Play 4 is a four-inch colour LCD sketch board designed for writing and drawing. Its ink-free surface gives children a reusable space for doodles, notes and ideas, with one-touch erase allowing them to clear the board and start again.

At 61g and 8mm thick, it is designed to be easy to carry, with an attached stylus and a clip-on lanyard that lets children fasten it to a bag or backpack. Sketch Play 4 comes in Space Purple, Ocean Blue, Wicked Pink and Sunny Orange.

For added peace of mind, Sketch Play 4 comes with a one-year warranty offering one-to-one replacement, subject to the applicable warranty terms.

Camera Play Plus: A digital space to capture, create and play

Camera Play Plus gives younger children a digital space of their own to capture, create and play without opening the door to the wider internet. Built around an ad-free, enclosed experience, it brings photography, video, music, stories, drawing and play together in a kid-friendly device.

A 3.97-inch touchscreen and dual cameras let children take photos and record videos, with photo frames and emojis offering ways to personalise their pictures. The device includes 10 children’s songs and 10 bedtime stories, alongside drawing, games and other built-in activities. Parents can set usage time limits, helping families establish everyday device habits.

Year-end gifting, pricing and availability

The range gives families different ways to choose gifts around children’s interests, from storytelling and drawing to nearby play and staying connected.
