Music fans from Kuala Lumpur and across the country came together on 15 August for a celebration of music, connection and shared experiences at Heineken® House
Heineken® House, headlined by Swedish DJ and producer Axwell alongside Baby J and Tye Turner, marked the finale of months of Heineken® House Sessions, bringing together music fans from Kuala Lumpur and across the country on 15 August for a celebration of music, connection and shared experiences.
In a world where social connections often begin behind a screen, taking the first step to meet someone in real life can feel increasingly uncommon. This insight inspired Heineken®’s global Fans Have More Friends platform and its local Just Say Hei campaign, encouraging people to break the ice through one simple greeting.

At Heineken® House, that belief came to life as fans connected over the music and the fandoms they shared, turning a night out into an opportunity to form new friendships and memorable experiences together.
One of those standout experiences was the Hei Zone, which marked the Malaysian debut of The Clinker, Heineken’ s latest social innovation. First introduced at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival earlier this year, The Clinker transforms a simple cheers into an opportunity to connect. Worn around a Heineken® cup, the smart band links fans based on their music tastes, lighting up when they have something
in common. With just a clink, it offers a natural, wordless way to break the ice that turns strangers into meaningful connections.
As a physical expression of Fans Have More Friends, The Clinker demonstrated the power of Just Say Hei, proving that every shared interest has the potential to spark a new friendship.
Building on the spirit of connection, the Hei Zone set the tone for the evening before fans immersed themselves in a curated line-up of international, regional and local artists across two immersive music rooms, with something for every music fan.

At Star Arena, festival-scale performances culminated in an electrifying headline set by Axwell, delivering iconic dance anthems and fan-favourite tracks that united fans in one shared celebration.
Meanwhile, Star Club offered a more intimate 360-degree experience, where Baby J and Tye Turner performed a back-to-back set, leading an energetic programme spanning house, techno and baile funk.
Together, the dual-room format celebrated the diversity of music fandoms, creating spaces where every fan could find their community.
“Music has always had the unique ability to bring people together, but the best moments happen when fans go beyond sharing the same playlist and start creating real connections,” said Sean O’Donnell, Marketing Director of HEINEKEN Malaysia.
“At the heart of Just Say Hei is the belief that making the first move shouldn’t feel intimidating. Heineken® House and the Hei Zone were designed to give people the confidence to say hello and see where it leads. Whether it began with a shared song or a simple conversation, the night showed that some of the best friendships start when people connect in real life,” continued Sean.

Through Fans Have More Friends, Heineken® continues to champion real-world social connection through shared passions like music, football and Formula 1®, creating more opportunities for people to step away from their screens and discover that the best friendships can begin with something as simple as saying “Hei”.
