Kia Presents A ‘Bold & Progressive’ Vehicle Showcase And Experience At KLIMS 2026

Kia Sales Malaysia yesterday presented its Bold and Progressive vision for the future of mobility at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026, highlighted by the showcase of four exciting global models and enhanced ownership initiatives aimed at delivering an exceptional ownership experience.

Kia Sales Malaysia President and CEO, Hyung Ho Kim, said, “Today marks an important milestone for Kia Sales Malaysia as we showcase Kia’s Bold and Progressive international vision. Through the showcase of six exceptional models, including four global products, we are demonstrating our commitment to delivering innovative mobility solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers.”

Set within the expansive Kia Pavilion at KLIMS 2026, the showcase runs from June 12 – 21, 2026, at MITEC – serving as an immersive brand experience that brings together design, diverse powertrain technologies, innovation, sustainability and ownership confidence initiatives under a unified strategy designed to meet the evolving needs of customers in Malaysia.

Dare to Progress: Premier Showing of the Kia K4

Making its first Malaysian appearance at KLIMS 2026, the Kia K4is showcased in GT-Line specification, embodying Kia’s latest Opposites United design philosophy that blends sporty styling with everyday practicality.

Powered by a 1.6L TGDI inline-four engine producing 193 PS and 265 Nm, the K4 delivers a balance of performance and refinement. Its chassis features McPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear setup, complemented by 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 235/40R18 tyres for enhanced stability and driving dynamics.

Inside, the K4 features Kia’s Integrated Panoramic Display, comprising a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 5-inch climate display and 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. Other highlights include wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats and 60:40 split-folding rear seats, building on generations of Kia sedans

Electrified and Future Mobility Line-Up: EV4, EV5 and PV5

Further reflecting Kia’s bold direction, the pavilion highlights the brand’s expanding electrified and future mobility portfolio, led by the Kia EV4, Kia EV5 and award-winning Kia PV5.

The Kia EV4 represents Kia’s next-generation electric mobility vision with progressive design, advanced connectivity and everyday usability. Built on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), it features a front-mounted electric motor producing 150 kW and 283 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 170 km/h and up to 612 km WLTP range (81.4 kWh battery).

The EV4 supports 10–80% DC fast charging in as little as 29 minutes (350 kW charger) and comes equipped with Kia’s Integrated Panoramic Display, and exterior & interior accessible Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability.

The Kia EV5 reinforces Kia’s commitment to sustainable mobility, with a focus on practicality, comfort and eco-conscious cabin materials. Also based on the E-GMP platform, it delivers up to 230 kW and 480 Nm depending on variant, with a 0–100 km/h time of 6.1 seconds and WLTP range of up to 540 km.

The EV5 supports DC fast charging up to 141 kW and features dual 12.3-inch displays, wireless connectivity, premium audio options, and advanced convenience technologies including fingerprint authentication and V2L functionality.

The Kia PV5, the first built on the dedicated E-GMP.S Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) architecture, showcases Kia’s mobility vision beyond traditional passenger vehicles. Designed for commercial, logistics and lifestyle applications, the PV5 Passenger delivers 120 kW from a front-mounted motor and features V2L and V2X capabilities.

It has received multiple global accolades, including MPV of the Year and Family Car of the Year at the 2026 What Car? Awards and TopGear.com EV Awards, as well as major design recognitions from the Red Dot and iF Design Awards.

Bold and Inspiring: The Kia Carnival and the Kia Sportage

On display and available for test drives are the Kia Carnival and Kia Sportage, available at all authorised Kia dealerships nationwide.

Spaces that Inspire comes to the fore in the Kia Carnival, available in 7-, 8- and 11-seater configurations, powered by the most efficient diesel engine in the world. Over 900km of range is achievable with a single full tank, based on the WLTP cycle, while performance figures of 202 PS and 440 Nm provide effortless acceleration.

Bold and daring, The Kia Sportage is available with 2.0-litre NA and 1.6-litre turbo engine options, paired with 6-speed automatic and 8-speed dual-clutch transmissions respectively. Offered in Malaysia in long-wheelbase variant, the Sportage is captivating in design with unique boomerang-inspired front LEDs and individual for those who #DareToSportage.

Interactive Experiences and Lifestyle Collaborations

Beyond the vehicles, the Kia Pavilion features a range of interactive and lifestyle-driven experiences designed to engage visitors throughout KLIMS 2026.

Highlights include FIFA World Cup-themed interactive games with prizes, selected Kia test drive opportunities featuring models such as the Kia Carnival and Kia Sportage, and exclusive rewards for bookings and test drive participation.

Kia further collaborates with the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) to provide visitors with travel inspiration and tourism information, reinforcing cultural connections between Malaysia and Korea.

Visitors to the Kia Pavillion will also be able to interact with an AI-driven visual art installation by acclaimed Malaysian digital visual artist, Max Jala, throughout the show at set presentation times during the day.
