Selangor Fashion Week 2024 showcases the latest trends in fashion, offering a dazzling display of creativity and talent. The event took place on Saturday, 19th October, followed by The Next Look Modeling and Talent Competition on Sunday, 20th October, both hosted at Subang Parade.
Fashion and Catwalk: Celebrating Diversity
Selangor Fashion Week featured approximately 100 models from various backgrounds and age groups. The participants included:
40 children (ages 4-11)
20 teenagers (ages 12-17)
40 adults (ages 18-70)
These models represented a wide range of nationalities, races, and genders, reflecting the event’s emphasis on inclusivity. The primary goal is to provide both emerging and established models with a platform to gain industry exposure while showcasing the collections of leading designers.

The Next Look Modeling and Talent Competition
On 20th October, The Next Look Modeling and Talent Competition was themed “Everyone Can Shine.” This competition emphasizes inclusivity, bringing together participants from all walks of life to celebrate both modern and cultural fashion. It focuses on fashion education, with a special emphasis on children, teenagers, and fashion students from various universities.
Unique Aspects:
What sets this competition apart is its focus on education and growth. Winners received:
Scholarships for fashion and modeling education, including catwalk training, public speaking, and confidence-building courses

An opportunity to attend Bangkok Kids International Fashion Week 2024 in November
Participants and Finalists:
Over 100 participants registered, with 20 being selected to compete in the event. The participants span three categories:
Kids (ages 5-11)
Teens (ages 11-17)
Adults (ages 18+)
The top three participants from each category advanced to the final round, with the chance to represent Malaysia on the international stage.
Guests of Honor:
Puan Fatimah Abu Bakar, representing Dato’ Kamil Othman, Chairman of Finas, and YBhg Datuk Rashidi Hasbullah, Deputy President of the World Travel Organization Malaysia Chapter, as the distinguished Guests of Honor.

In addition to the competitions, 28 awards were presented to honorees from across Malaysia, recognizing excellence in various fields.
