XIXILI unveiled its Spring Summer 2018 Collections at its 6th annual lingerie fashion show. Titled‘Haute Bohème’ and held at Fuze Club, Kuala Lumpur, the venue was rampant with bold flowers. The audience were also given a sneak peek to upcoming Autumn Winter 2018 Collections.
The inspiration for the XIXILI Spring Summer 2018 collections were drawn from the notion of reconnecting with our inner selves. These new collections serve as a reminder to all ladies to take a break from the demands of their lives and to delight their own souls for just a bit!
A confident uplift from inside out, ladies are drawn to think of themselves first. A calm away from the hustle and bustle of the world; the constant challenges of modern life; and instead to find solitude in building a relationship with oneself, the one who deserves the most attention. Immerse in beautiful nature; breathe in the sun and the air; take time to adorn their own body and revive to feel alive again.
To complement the inspiration behind Spring Summer 2018 collections, this year’s show was inspired by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo: her feisty independence, bold confidence and love for art and colours. This was evident through the 14 beautiful models who breezed through the runway with braided floral hair and vibrant make-up.
Frida Kahlo is someone who does not conform to trends but created her own unique style. She is the icon of a strong, independent lady, a vision epitomized by each model as they strut down the runway with unwavering confidence. This year, the runway showcased a total of 56 lingerie sets from the Spring Sumer 2018 and Autumn Winter 2018 collections. Some items were also specially curated for the show.
This season’s palette offers a wide range of ready-to-wear colours with a high note of pastel shades amidst earthy tones and sweet blossomy hues. All beautifully balanced by a few solid bases of classic dark shades for your staple wears.
