Maldives is a dream destination for many people, who wouldn’t want to be in such an exotic place which is a melting pot of cultures and the beaches are pristine? I can imagine balmy nights, coral reefs abundant with colourful fish and lots of fantastic and delicious seafood. It’s a destination for newlyweds and jaded partners, what better place to revive a relationship that has lost some sparkle?

Anyway whether you are seeking romance or not, you can soon fly to the Madives on Cathay Pacific as the airline has announced that it will launch a new four-times-weekly service there from Hong Kong. The new service is scheduled to commence on 27 October 2013. Visitors to the Maldives currently enjoy a free 30-day visa on arrival in the capital city, Malé.
