The first performance of TRIKSTARS Masters Of Trickery @ Sunway Lagoon premiered last Friday night. The show featured internationally acclaimed magicians and illusionists showcasing their unique blend of spectacular stunts, magic and comedy as they enthralled the audience throughout the 2 hour show filled with entertaining 3D effects, amazing stage props and breathtaking pyrotechnics.
A total of 7 performers from Las Vegas and Europe graced the stage, delighting the audience with wonder and comedy. Phelston Jones captivated the audience with his mix of magic and satire while American magician Sylvester the Jester dazzled viewers as he brought a cartoon character to life.
King Charles Troupe played a game of high-energy basketball on unicycles. Magus Utopia introduced a darker edge to the show with their unique combination of storytelling, strong visuals and illusions in Nightmares. Award-winning dance couple Sebastian and Kristina showcased their artistry via their dance and magical transformations.
The ‘Coolest Magician on Earth’ Rudy Colby proved to be a treat for the audience while famed songstress, J’aime Holland sang with backup dancers in fabulous costumes.
J’aime Holland is an Australian born singer, based in Melbourne. J’aime is the lead female vocalist in Big City Beat which has performed in China, Oman, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia.
King Charles Troupe is a fast-paced unicycle basketball and comedy group. Formerly based out of The Bronx in New York, they have now added another base in Las Vegas, Nevada, a connection originally made through their numerous appearances in the productions of superstar illusionists Siegfried & Roy. King Charles unicycle basketball troupe consists of a group of 10 extraordinary unicyclists ranging in age from 13 upward to adults. They play basketball on unicycles in a “Razzle Dazzle” style.
Dan Sylvester also known as ‘Sylvester the Jester’ began to use his skills as an artist, magician and inventor to design and build the wildest, cartoonyest magic effects anyone has ever seen. But then in the 90s, he literally took it to a whole new dimension when he created his madcap stage persona, “Sylvester the Jester, A Real Live Cartoon”. When he appears on stage, all the laws that govern a 3D reality go right out the window, like smoke from his ears.
Sebastian & Kristina are international quick change artists who have performed across the world for global circus festivals, exclusive gala events and luxury cruise liners. Their distinct performance style, flawless technique and stylish designer costumes have made them one of the elite quick change artistes in the world.
