Rising esports stars, professional gamers, and casual gaming enthusiasts – get ready to power up and compete! Malaysia’s biggest community gaming tournament is back – bigger, bolder, and more immersive. Mountain Dew and Honor of Kings, the world’s most-played mobile MOBA, today announced the launch of Dew Challenge Season 2, featuring an expanded national tournament, exclusive Mountain Dew in-game items, and a massive RM750,000 prize pool up for grabs.
Level Up in the Gorge: Mountain Dew Enters Honor of Kings
This year’s edition brings a deeper level of in-game integration from Honor of Kings, giving players a full Mountain Dew experience inside the Gorge:
Starting 20 December 2025, players can jump into the “Show Your Stripes!” in-game event, running through 9 January 2026. By completing themed missions, players will earn event coins that can be redeemed for exclusive Mountain Dew–designed cosmetics, including the Mountain Dew Major Melon Avatar Frame and the Major Melon Booster – Flowborn’s Headgear. These limited-time rewards
are available only during the event period.
All registered participants of Dew Challenge Season 2 will unlock an exclusive in-game title banner, giving players a unique way to showcase their participation and stand out in the game. Alongside the event, a Mountain Dew-themed in-game environment will be available to all players from 20 December 2025 to 21 January 2026.
Battles will open with a Mountain Dew-themed round-start barrier that glows pink at kickoff, while the familiar Healing Dew item is transformed into a vibrant Major Melon bottle for players to use in combat. Please note that the event does not include a title banner unlock; title banners are reserved exclusively for
participants of Dew Challenge S2.
“Honor of Kings and Mountain Dew share the same drive for pushing boundaries and energising communities,” said Amy Gan, Vice President of Marketing at Etika Sdn. Bhd. “Esports in Malaysia is fast maturing into a structured, professional ecosystem with real pathways for talent. We’re proud to support that growth. The inaugural Dew Challenge showcased the creativity of Malaysian gamers—and with Season 2, we’re levelling up the experience with more opportunities, more rewards, and more immersive gameplay.”
Amy added on, “The inaugural Dew Challenge highlighted the creativity and potential of Malaysian players, and we’re proud of the impact it made last season. The community has been eagerly looking forward to Season 2, and we’re excited to reach even more players across Malaysia. This year, we’ve made the tournament bigger, more immersive, and more accessible, giving gamers new ways to develop their skills, engage with the community, and showcase their talent on a larger stage.”
Echoing this commitment, Ashley Phuah, Senior Business Development Manager, Southeast Asia, Level Infinite, Tencent Games, said “Our continued partnership with Mountain Dew reflects our dedication to elevating Malaysia’s esports landscape. Beyond the competition, Dew Challenge Season 2 strengthens mobile esports infrastructure, supports structured tournaments, and helps position Malaysia as a leading hub for professional gaming in Southeast Asia.”
