Being at a spa if only for a brief 2 hours is a welcome respite any time as life is just too hectic. To take some time off and smell the lemongrass or whatever scents are in the spa is one of the best things one can do to chill out. Tanamera spas are exclusively for women and are based on traditional Malay rituals. The first thing a customer does is to choose the massage oil she wants. I chose green coffee which doesn’t have a very strong scent but it’s not that mild either, the perfect scent for relaxation.
Tanamera Wellness Centre at Subang Jaya offers a variety of spa packages, some stretching to over 4 hours. Now that is pure indulgence. Tanamera had very kindly offered me a 1 hour body massage and a body scrub afterwards. The centre also offers hair and scalp treatments which by the way are highly affordable.
The treatment room I was ushered into has a shower unit s you don’t need to leave the room after the body scrub. That’s very convenient as the shower is only a step or to away from the bed. The room is spacious and there’s a wardrobe to leave your clothes and possessions.
As this is a 1 hour body massage, I requested for the massage to be administered to my back for the duration. It’s been months since my last massage and of course the aches and pains were evident as the therapist began stroking and those muscles crying out for therapy.
Altogether, I’d say this was an enjoyable session as the therapist was very good in giving my poor back the relief it needed. The green coffee massage oil is probably unique to Tanamera as I have not seen it anywhere else. After the massage, the therapist covered my body in green coffee body scrub. It felt a bit rough but that’s when I know it’s going to be effective in producing smooth and soft skin.
