I used to purchase the Montagne Jeunesse masks available at Watsons and Guardian as they are cheap and cheerful. The packaging is colourful and really catches the eye when they are displayed on the shelves or on a stand. In general, the masks probably attract young customers and the fact that they are nicely scented (fruity!) helps.
The Montagne Jeunesse Renew You masks are (I believe) for the older customers who are concerned with anti-aging and firming measures. These are thick and creamy masks and they are a good deal as you get enough for 2 applications. The 2 sections are joined in the middle with serrated edges for easy separation. A good idea as you don’t need to depot any remainder in a container. Much more hygienic this way as you have sufficient for 1 application with no wastage or the need to store them air-tight.
Since I am always on the look-out for any anti-aging masks, I purchased the Ultra Firming and Collagen masks. Both of them have quite a strong fragrance and I found it a bit overpowering although bearable after a few minutes.
The masks feel like hydrating masks as they are so ultra-creamy. I leave them on for at least 15 minutes but I didn’t find either that firming. Sure, they are slightly moisturising but I have tried better hydrating masks. As for smoothening fine lines and wrinkles, I didn’t see any improvements in that area.
Each mask retails at RM4.60.
Thanks for the good review! Know of any eye cream/serum/mask that can smooth fine lines there? The ones I tried including rosehip oil doesn’t seem to do squat in that area.
To be perfectly honest, I haven’t yet found an eye product that can really smooth fine lines permanently. Most eye serums/creams I’ve tried are hydrating but like you say, they don’t do squat for fine lines. When I find one, you will be the 1st to know!
