Choosing the right sunscreen can sometimes be difficult given the varieties available even in drugstore these days. There seem to be rows and rows of sunscreen and one can even consider moisturisers with sunscreen but I’m one of those people who would rather apply a separate sunscreen as I feel that is more effective in protecting my skin from UVA/UVB rays. Mentholatum Skin Aqua UV Watery Essence SPF50+PA++++ and Skin Aqua UV Watery Gel SPF50+PA++++ are formulated with Solarex-3 technology to provide consumers with photo stable protection against the sun’s damaging UV rays which is proven to resist photo-degradation 3x better.
Both UV products come with PA++++ protection, offering 16x better protection against UVA rays to prevent premature aging. It also contains Vitamin C which reduces melanin formation, effectively lightens freckles and dark spots as well as evens out skin tone for a more even and radiant skin. Solarex-3 is another key formulation which makes the Skin Aqua UV Watery Gel and Watery Essence effective. It contains RonaCare Ectoin, Antileukine 6 and hyaluronic acid. These three ingredients work together to effectively moisturise, repair and enhance the skin’s ability to shield itself from UV rays as well as protect the skin’s DNA from damage.
As with all the Mentholatunm sunscreens I have tried, these products have a watery light texture, feels weightless on skin with a matte finish. They have a soothing effect on skin as they contain Aloe Extract & Portulacca Extract to soothe and protect skin from free radicals. Both products can be used on face and body.
