Juniper
This is Max Factor’s eyeshadow version of their Flipstick Colour Effect Lipstick, a 2-in-1 eyeshadow product. It is quite creamy and shimmery. Mine is in Citrus Thunder, it was a swap with a very nice lady who attended the launch of the Flipstick. I promised her I’d review the product.
Citrus Thunder has a lime green with a rounded tip on one end (Step 1) and a bronze with a tapered tip on the other end. I don’t know how the 2 shades complement each other and so I’ve found myself using the green more than the bronze.
On my eyelids, the colours are not as strong as that swatched on my hand. It’s very light and pale on my eyelids which is why I have used these shades as base for powder eyeshadows rather than on their own. Furthermore, they don’t last long on my eyelids before they start to fade if used on their own so it’s best to use the under powder eyeshadows.
There are either 6 or 8 shades and retail at RM44 each. Due to the average staying power, I won’t be looking for more of these + the colours could be a wee bit more intense/stronger on the eyelids. After all, they are meant to be used as eyeshadows and not as base.
