HungryGoWhere celebrated their 1st Anniversary today with a website revamp (it has a fresh new look) and they brought together 12 food trucks at The Curve in what is Malaysia’s largest food truck event. The new website is a visual kaleidoscope of all the foods that Malaysians love and is the ultimate destination guide for both locals and tourists. It features a map-based search function which provides directions to restaurants. The new site also shows users top recommended restaurants as well as reviews of the most-talked about cafes and dishes in town.

The HungryGoWhere food guide draws on the expertise of in-house reviewers, food writers, bloggers and the man on the street. HungryGoWhere boasts a database of over 45,000 photos and 250,000 reviews and ratings covering every kind of eating establishment from mamak stalls to high-end restaurants with halal eateries clearly labeled.

HungryGoWhere’s mobile-friendly website also allows users to rate and review restaurants, share photos on the spot and get the latest news on openings and promotions. Recipes for restaurant-quality dishes from top chefs. to traditional favourites of housewives are available to help anyone whip up a feast at home so users can ‘Eat, Discover and Share’ at the tap of a finger.

From international offerings to local street favourites, the food trucks offered something for everyone who dropped by. HungryGoWhere gave away a total of RM5,000 worth of meal vouchers which were redeemed at the food trucks present during the event. The massive food truck party also saw participants in eating contests walk away with freebies and vouchers, on top of all the roti canai and buffalo wings that they could eat.

From December 2 to 4, the ‘HungryGoWhere Turns One’ food truck road show will be at Pusat Bandar Damansara, Damansara Uptown 1 and Bandar Puteri Puchong respectively. Visit www.hungrygowhere.my to find out more.
